Fall Adult Forum: "The Gospels in Perspective"

Sunday morning Adult Forums begin again on Sunday, September 14 at 9:15 a.m. with discussion led by Joe Dorchack on Garry Wills’ latest book (2008) What the Gospels Meant. This hour-long weekly forum will follow Wills’ remarkable exploration of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as the author examines the goals, methods and styles of the four evangelists and how these shaped the Gospels’ messages.

Historian Garry Wills is the author of more than 20 books, including the Pulitzer Prizewinning Lincoln at Gettysburg. Having once studied for the priesthood, Wills earned his PhD in the classics from Yale, taught at Johns Hopkins and is now Professor of History emeritus at Northwestern University. He is also a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books.
