Sunday Morning Adult Forum: Meets at 9:15 a.m. in the Aldworth Vestry room. Sunday morning Adult Forums begin again on Sunday, September 14 at 9:15 a.m. with discussion led by Joe Dorchack on Garry Wills’ latest book (2008) What the Gospels Meant. This hour-long weekly forum will follow Wills’ remarkable exploration of the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as the author examines the goals, methods and styles of the four evangelists and how these shaped the Gospels’ messages. Wednesday Morning Bible Encounter: Every Wednesday – summer, fall, winter, spring – a group of 2 to 7 people gather in the Aldworth Vestry Room at St. C’s to consider the following questions:
1. How does the Bible speak to me in my daily life?
2. How does the Bible feed the life of our community?
3. How are we renewed, empowered, and enlivened by the word? And
4. What stands in the way of our opening the Bible and joining the conversation?
Each week members of this group examine the Gospel reading for forthcoming Sunday in light of our daily lives and the life of Christ. Come join us for spiritual reflection as well as coffee, friendship and fun. Teacher: Reverend Paris Coffey
